Jeep Compass 2017, apuntando a los SUV más vendidos

Si hay una marca que está tirando de todo el desarrollo de producto en FCA esa es Jeep. Llevan cuatro años consecutivos vendiendo más que nunca, con productos muy exitosos, como el Jeep Renegade 2015 (4,25 m) o el Jeep Cherokee 2014 (4,62 m). Justo entre ellos se situará la segunda generación del Jeep Compass, un SUV compacto que inaugurará además la planta brasileña de Goiana, Pernambuco. Llegara al mercado español en la segunda mitad de 2017.

Sus dimensiones son ideales para competir en el segmento más competido con creces. Mide 4,42 m de longitud por 1,82 m de ancho y 1,65 m de alto, con una batalla de 2,64 m. El Jeep Compass 2017 se ha realizado sobre la plataforma modular compacta del grupo FCA que emplean el Alfa Romeo Giulietta o el Cherokee, con todas las modificaciones necesarias.

Su diseño es muy similar al del Cherokee, pero con formas más cuadradas que garantizan una buena habitabilidad interior y un frontal menos afilado. Cuenta con ópticas LED tanto delanteras como traseras y en las primeras fotos se observa una doble salida de escape.

Jeep Compass 2017. Motores

Por el momento no se conocen detalles técnicos, solamente que habrá 17 motores disponibles para los 100 mercados en los que se venderá el nuevo Compass. Obviamente, no todos se venderán en España. Tendremos más información cuando el coche se presente en Los Angeles el mes de septiembre, pero es de esperar que cuente con los 1.6 Multijet de 120 CV y el 2.0 Multijet que se ofrece con 140 y 170 CV en diésel, además de motores gasolina MultiAir sobreliamentados entre 120 y 170 CV de potencia.

At the moment no technical details are known, only that there will be 17 engines available for the 100 markets in which the new Compass will be sold. Obviously, not all will be sold in Spain.
