SEAT e-Mii, el primer eléctrico aparece en forma de prototipo

El Mobile World Congress de Barcelona ha sido el evento elegido para la presentación del SEAT e-Mii. Se trata del primer eléctrico de la marca, aunque de momento es un prototipo y tendremos que esperar la versión de producción definitiva. Comparte plataforma con el Volkswagen e-Up! que fue presentado en el Salón de Frankfurt de 2013 y se convirtió en el primer eléctrico de Volkswagen. Por lo tanto ambos modelos compartirán cifras.

El SEAT e-Mii monta el mismo motor eléctrico de 82 CV (60 kW) y 210 Nm de par. Tiene una aceleración de 0 a 100 km/h en 11,3 segundos, algo más rápido que el Volkswagen e-Up! y su velocidad máxima está limitada a 130 km/h. Gracias al paquete de baterías de iones de litio de 18,7 kWh consigue una autonomía eléctrica de 160 kilómetros (ciclo NEDC), aunque en condiciones normales dicha cifra se quedará en unos 120 kilómetros.

La recarga completa se hace en una toma corriente en un tiempo de nueve horas, aunque en un cargador rápido se puede alcanzar el 80% en apenas 30 minutos. Sin embargo, estas cifras podrían ser diferentes en el modelo de producción que se espera que llegue en 2019. Hasta entonces, este prototipo se someterá a pruebas para el desarrollo del modelo y su conectividad principalmente.

En total serán 10 unidades del SEAT e-Mii que estarán a disposición de los trabajadores de Metropolis:Lab Barcelona. Incluirá algunos avances como un sistema de navegación preventiva que ajusta la ruta si detecta tráfico o un sistema de búsqueda de plazas de aparcamiento y pago por móvil. Parece que la marca también parece interesada en el desarrollo del car-sharing y este modelo sería la plataforma idónea.
