Ford Autolivery, así se plantea la furgoneta autónoma del futuro

Estos días se está celebrando el Mobile World Congress de Barcelona, un evento en el que también están llegando algunas novedades del mundo del automóvil. Una de ellas es el Ford Autolivery, un prototipo de furgoneta del futuro que forma parte del proyecto “Ciudad del Mañana” de la marca del óvalo. Esta furgoneta enfocada al reparto se combina con unos drones que se encargan del último tramo para llegar a zonas inaccesibles

Este servicio Autolivery nace con un uso puramente comercial, pues el objetivo en el futuro es mejorar la movilidad en entornos urbanos. También se apuesta por la sostenibilidad y es por ello por lo que esta furgoneta de Ford es completamente eléctrica. Y como hablamos de futuro también es inevitable que no se recurra a la conducción autónoma de nivel 4 (sin supervisión del conductor en áreas acotadas donde el coche tenga suficiente información).

Este Ford Autolivery también tiene un objetivo marcado. Si el reparto de mercancías del futuro se plantea de forma autónoma surge un reto que llaman como el de los “últimos 15 metros”. Lo más complicado de la entrega de paquetes es automatizar este último paso del proceso de reparto. En los próximos años se intentará solventar esta cuestión y por ello Ford confía en que los drones sean una solución efectiva.

Para el año 2021 Ford quiere tener en el mercado un vehículo completamente autónomo que alcance el nivel 4. También confían en que la gama de vehículos eléctricos siga creciendo y que supere a sus equivalentes de motor de combustión en los próximos 15 años. Veremos como sigue avanzando la tecnología, pero lo más probable es que la conducción autónoma y la electricidad sean los protagonistas del futuro.
