Infiniti adelanta el prototipo QX80 Monograph antes de su presentación en Nueva York

A escasos días de su presentación oficial en Nueva York, el fabricante japonés Infiniti ha decidido hacer pública la primera imagen del QX80 Monograph, un prototipo que adelanta el aspecto de futuros de la marca.

El Infiniti QX80, el SUV más grande de la compañía de vehículos premium podría tener un aspecto similar al que vemos en la imagen en el futuro. El Infiniti QX80 Monograph será presentado durante el próximo Auto Show de Nueva York, pero aquí tenemos un avance de como será el esperado concept.

Por el momento, la firma tan solo se ha limitado a ofrecer un teaser donde se puede apreciar el exterior del modelo, pero no ha revelado ningún dato. A nivel estético, el elemento más destacable que podemos observar en la imagen es su gran parrilla frontal con el logo de Infiniti situado en la parte media superior de ésta. Los faros se sitúan más arriba en la parrilla delantera, haciendo que el modelo tenga una presencia más seria.

Además, la parte inferior del paragolpes gana una mayor presencia de todo terreno, gracias a que cuenta con una protección metálica inferior, muy característica en los vehículos SUV. Otros rasgos destacables son las grandes entradas de aire en el frontal y unas llantas de aleación de gran tamaño acompañadas de unos neumáticos de perfil bajo. Al tratarse de un concepto, este modelo se puede permitir el lujo de no incluir retrovisores exteriores, algo que lógicamente esperamos ver en la versión final.

“El QX80 Monograph muestra nuestra idea de lujo y diseño sobre ruedas, y supone aventurarse en cómo podríamos mejorar nuestra oferta Infiniti en el segmento de los SUV de lujo”, afirma el presidente de Infiniti, Roland Krueger.

Con las actualizaciones de diseño que vemos en las imágenes, el Infiniti QX80 Monograph se asimila al modelo QX50, presentado en el Salón del Automóvil de Detroit en enero de este año. Sin embargo, algunos rumores dicen que podría basar su diseño en el Nissan Patrol e incluso ofrecer motores V8 de 5.6 litros. De momento tendremos que esperar a la presentación en Nueva York para conocer todos los detalles.

Other notable features are the large air intakes in the front and large alloy wheels accompanied by low profile tires. Being a concept, this model can afford not to include exterior mirrors, something that logically we expect to see in the final version.

"The QX80 Monograph shows our idea of ​​luxury and design on wheels, and it means venturing into how we could improve our Infiniti offer in the luxury SUV segment," says Infiniti President Roland Krueger.

With the design updates we see in the images, the Infiniti QX80 Monograph is assimilated to the QX50 model, presented at the Detroit Motor Show in January of this year. However, some rumors say it could base its design on the Nissan Patrol and even offer 5.6 liter V8 engines. For now we will have to wait for the presentation in New York to know all the details.
