Mitsubishi lanza finalmente su esperado CUV Eclipse Cross

Finalmente, luego de una pequeña polémica por su nombre, se presentó el nuevo CUV (Coupe Utility Vehicle) de la marca japonesa de los diamantes, el Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, que viene a ingresar en un segmento de modelos SUV con forma más deportiva y tratando de parecer un coupe. Recordemos que este es el primer modelo que se lanza desde que Mitsubishi fue adquirido por Nissan. 

Su diseño mantiene el frontal que nos viene acostumbrando la marca desde su Outlander y Montero Sport, bastante bien logrado y deportivo, pero siempre dejando claro que es un crossover. Su línea lateral ya nos acerca más a lo que puede ser un hatchback elevado o directamente un coupe de 4 puertas, con un portalón trasero que es cruzado por una tercera luz de freno LED que hace las veces de alerón posterior. 

Su interior estrena una nueva línea en el diseño de la marca, mucho más orientada hacia al conductor, menos recta y con mayores detalles enfocados en la tecnología. Podemos ver un mouse al estilo de los que encontramos en los Lexus de última generación, así como una pantalla en la parte alta y central del tablero. 

En lo referente a motores, se han anunciado dos opciones: un motor de 1.5 litros turbo a gasolina y un 2.2 litros turbo diésel, ambos acoplados a una transmisión automática, del tipo CVT y 8 velocidades para el primero y de 8 velocidades automática para el segundo. Aun no se anuncian las potencias, pero  si se anunció que todos tendrán tracción AWD.

Se espera que Europa sea donde inicie su comercialización, luego de su estreno en sociedad en el salón de Ginebra, para así seguir a otros mercados, incluyendo EEUU, donde solo se ofrecerá con el motor a gasolina.

Its interior opens a new line in the design of the brand, much more oriented towards the driver, less straight and with more details focused on the technology. We can see a mouse in the style of those found in the latest Lexus, as well as a screen in the upper and central part of the board.

Regarding engines, two options have been announced: a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-liter turbo diesel, both coupled to an automatic transmission, type CVT and 8-speed for the first and 8-speed automatic for the second. The powers are not yet announced, but it has been announced that all will have AWD traction.

It is expected that Europe will be where it begins its commercialization, after its debut in society in the hall of Geneva, so to follow other markets, including the USA, where only will be offered with the gas engine.
