Maxi Scheib vestirá los colores de la escudería Aprilia en 2017
Gildemeister Motos (representante de la marca italiana Aprilia en Chile) anunció esta semana que el joven piloto nacional de 21 años, Maxi Scheib, firmó un contrato por dos años para ser piloto oficial de Aprilia Racing en las temporadas 2017 y 2018 en el Campeonato Mundial Superstock 1000, que forma parte del Campeonato Mundial de SBK, los que correrá como miembro del equipo “Nuova M2”.
Como parte del contrato, se establece que hará todas las fechas del Superstock 1000, además de dos fechas del Mundial de SBK en 2017, y que en 2018 se evaluará si sigue en el Superstock 1000 o sube directamente al Mundial de Superbike (SBK), lo que dependerá finalmente de su desempeño en 2017. Además, también Aprilia estaría evaluando que el piloto nacional corra este año algunas fechas del Campeonato Español de SBK, para ganar aún más kilómetros en pista y una adaptación 100% de la motocicleta y la marca.
Vale destacar, que Maxi Scheib enfrentará sus desafíos internacionales junto a Aprilia a bordo del modelo RSV4 RF (CLP $16.990.000), misma motocicleta que Gildemeister Motos le está entregando en Chile para que realice sus entrenamientos.
Para Aprilia Racing el rendimiento de Scheib en el pasado Campeonato Europeo de SBK 2016, donde finalizó segundo, ganó 2 carreras e hizo 5 podios, fue la base para fijarse en él. Luego fueron testigos cuando ganó una fecha del Mundial Superstock 1000 (corrió con wild card), hecho que terminó de convencerlos para apostar por este piloto chileno de apenas 21 años.
