Un adelanto del nuevo Seat Ibiza que será presentado en Ginebra 2017

El nuevo SEAT Ibiza, en su quinta entrega, llega cargado con la tecnología más avanzada, dinamismo y un increíble aumento en confort y espacio interior. El modelo más importante de la marca española se renueva por completo conservando el espíritu joven, funcional, deportivo y confortable de siempre. El nuevo Ibiza hará su debut internacional en el próximo Salón de Ginebra y estará a la venta en junio de en el mercado europeo.

Este compacto nace con un objetivo muy ambicioso: marcar un antes y un después en seguridad, diseño, prestaciones y confort. Un enorme salto cualitativo que se consigue gracias al estreno de la nueva plataforma modular MQB A0 que aporta innumerables ventajas. Es el primer modelo del Grupo Volkswagen que estrena esta plataforma, lo que demuestra la importancia de SEAT dentro del Grupo Volkswagen.

El nuevo Ibiza ha aumentado notablemente su habitabilidad interior, es mucho más robusto, y también, mucho más seguro. Es mucho más ancho, nada menos que 87 mm, y también dos milímetros más corto y uno más bajo que el modelo anterior, pero más que nada, el cambio de dimensiones transmite una imagen poderosa, de un coche mucho mejor asentado sobre el asfalto. La clave está, en la nueva plataforma.

Su ancho de vías crece 60 mm en el eje anterior y 48 en el posterior, mientras que la distancia entre ejes aumentó 95 mm hasta situarse en 2.564 milímetros. Como resultado, la habitabilidad ha mejorado considerablemente, de manera que el Ibiza 2017 es, al mismo tiempo, más pequeño por fuera y más grande por dentro. Por ejemplo, el espacio para las rodillas en los asientos posteriores ha crecido 35 mm, mientras que la altura disponible en las plazas delanteras crece 24 mm y 17 para los pasajeros. En anchura se ganan nada menos que 42 mm, convirtiéndolo en el modelo con mejor habitabilidad de su segmento, y lo mismo sucede con el maletero, que ahora ofrece 355 litros, 63 más que antes.

CONOCE LOS MOTORES

Toda la gama de motores cumple con la normativa Euro6 de emisiones y son un ejemplo en cuanto a rendimiento, con unas prestaciones sobresalientes y un consumo y emisiones muy contenidos. La primera opción es el 1.0 TSI de tres cilindros con 95 o 115 CV, turbocompresor, intercooler e inyección directa. A finales de 2017 llegará el nuevo 1.5 TSI de cuatro cilindros y 150 CV. En Diésel, el eficiente 1.6 TDI se ofrece con 80, 95 y 115 CV. Para terminar, la nueva plataforma MQB A0 permite montar el motor 1.0 TGI de 90 CV alimentado por gas natural comprimido (GNC). SEAT es la primera marca que ofrece una mecánica de este tipo en este segmento. Los motores van combinados con cajas de cambio de 6 velocidades para potencias superiores a 95 CV y de 5 velocidades para el resto. También está disponible como opción, la caja de cambios de doble embrague DSG de 7 velocidades.

El comportamiento dinámico, la calidad de rodadura y el confort de marcha son excepcionales gracias a la nueva plataforma MQB A0 pero también al incremento de la rigidez torsional en un 30%. Sólo estará disponible con carrocería de 5 puertas, que es más funcional pero gracias a su diseño ofrece al mismo tiempo la imagen deportiva de un 3 puertas. También ha habido un gran salto cualitativo en cuanto a rumorosidad y vibraciones.

Entre los sistemas de ayuda a la conducción que incorpora el nuevo Ibiza tenemos elementos ya conocidos en el León y Ateca pero nada habituales en esta clase. Así, en el nuevo SEAT Ibiza podemos encontrar Front Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, control de crucero adaptativo ACC, sistema de entrada y arranque sin llave Kessy Entry System, una nueva generación de sensores de aparcamiento delantero y trasero y una cámara de visión trasera con mayor calidad y precisión reflejada en una pantalla táctil integrada de 8”.

MEET THE ENGINES

The entire range of engines complies with Euro6 emission standards and is an example of performance, with outstanding performance and high consumption and emissions. The first option is the 1.0 TSI three-cylinder with 95 or 115 hp, turbocharger, intercooler and direct injection. At the end of 2017 will arrive the new 1.5 TSI of four cylinders and 150 CV. In Diesel, the efficient 1.6 TDI is offered with 80, 95 and 115 hp. Finally, the new MQB A0 platform allows the installation of the 1.0 TGI 90 hp engine powered by compressed natural gas (CNG). SEAT is the first brand that offers such a mechanic in this segment. The engines are combined with gearboxes of 6 speeds for powers higher than 95 hp and 5 speeds for the rest. Also available as an option is the dual-clutch DSG 7-speed gearbox.

The dynamic behavior, the quality of running and the comfort of running are exceptional thanks to the new platform MQB A0 but also to the increase of torsional stiffness by 30%. It will only be available with a 5-door body, which is more functional but thanks to its design offers at the same time the sporty image of a 3-door. There has also been a great qualitative leap in rumor and vibration.

Among the systems of assistance to the driving that incorporates the new Ibiza we have elements already known in the Leon and Ateca but nothing habitual in this class.
