El nuevo Hyundai Accent hizo su estreno mundial en el Autoshow en Toronto (Canadá), el jueves pasado. Desde su lanzamiento en 1994, el modelo ha ido ganado popularidad constantemente, lo que ha servido para que esta nueva quinta generación se base en sólidas fortalezas.

Esta nueva camada incorpora la ingeniería moderna de Hyundai y su experiencia en investigación y desarrollo. El nuevo Accent cuenta con un diseño audaz, un interior sofisticado, un tren de potencia más eficiente, el ruido de la cabina notoriamente reducido y una dinámica de conducción significativamente mejorada.

El sedán se espera que llegue a los mercados mundiales a partir del tercer trimestre de este año, seguido por el hatchback 5 puertas.

INGENIERÍA ORIENTADA AL CONDUCTOR Y MAYOR SEGURIDAD

El All-new Accent utiliza un 54,5% de Acero Avanzado de Alta Resistencia -desde el 41,5% en la cuarta generación- provisto por la filial de la compañía, Hyundai Steel. Además, su chasis mejoró la rigidez torsional en un 32% utilizando 98,5 metros de adhesivos estructurales.

Este nuevo chasis rígido mejora la percepción de la calidad, el aislamiento del ruido y la dinámica de conducción. La aplicación de Advanced High-Strength Steel mejora el rendimiento en caso de impacto sin añadir peso innecesario, lo que ayuda a reducir el consumo de combustible y ofrecer una mejor sensación de conducción.

La mejora del confort de conducción, manejo y estabilidad se logran a través de desarrollos de suspensión. Si bien la sensación de dirección se ha perfeccionó con mejoras en la eficiencia de dirección, se aumentó la relación de apalancamiento de los amortiguadores traseros. El sistema de dirección asistida eléctrica (MDPS) estándar se ajusta instantáneamente a las condiciones de conducción cambiantes para una mayor precisión y sensación, mientras mejora la economía de combustible.

DISEÑO EXTERIOR LLAMATIVO

El diseño de All-new Accent exhibe confianza y sofisticación con formas de cuerpo esculpidas y líneas suavemente contorneadas que ofrecen una nueva interpretación del lenguaje de diseño exclusivo de Hyundai.

El nuevo vehículo  presenta la grilla hexagonal, una señal de diseño visual que es parte integrante de la identidad de la compañía. Lógicamente está flanqueada por faros envolventes y luces LED diurnas.

El All-new Accent tiene un perfil de techo amplio y una línea de carácter afilada recorre todo el largo del auto, hasta llegar a la delgada y deportiva combinación de luces traseras en la parte trasera, colocada sobre un parachoques trasero delgado y moderno. La adición de detalles como las llantas de aleación aro 17 y los repetidores LED, le dan un aspecto de auto superior.

Si lo comparamos con el modelo actual, es 29 mm más ancho y la longitud total se incrementó en 15 mm, sin embargo su altura se mantiene sin cambios, todo lo cual se combina para dar al auto una postura más aterrizada. La distancia entre ejes es 10 mm más ancha, empujando las ruedas más lejos a las esquinas y mejorando habitabilidad interior.

Al igual que el sedán, el HB también vio incrementadas sus medidas claves, sobre todo su largo que aumentó en 70mm. El ancho y la distancia entre ejes también suben 29 mm y 10 mm, respectivamente, mientras que la altura no sufrió variación alguna.

HABITÁCULO MODERNO

Su habitáculo presenta un diseño orientado al conductor con controles intuitivos, a lo que se suma materiales de alta calidad y características de tecnología premium que elevan el estándar visto en este tipo de vehículos.
