Precios, versiones, sensaciones de manejo
Básicamente lo tendremos en las versiones 1.5 Turbo Comfort y 1.5 Turbo Elite, que se diferencian entre sí por su nivel de equipamiento, agregando ambas la motorización Turbo de 1.5 litro de 148 caballos que genera 210 Nm entre las 2.000 y 4.500 rpm, asociada a una caja de trasmisión manual de seis velocidades. Cuenta con la garantía más extensa del mercado, que corresponde a los 7 años ó 150.000 kilómetros, lo que primero suceda.

Mide 4.405 mm de largo, 1.809 mm de ancho, 1.685 mm de alto, con una distancia entre ejes de 2.650 mm y neumáticos de medidas 215/60/R17, con opción de llantas de aluminio o aluminio bi-color según la versión. Dentro de sus principales sistemas de seguridad, destacan para ambas versiones los 2 airbag frontales, frenos ABS + EBD + BA, sensor de estacionamiento con cámara de retroceso, cinturones de seguridad con pretensionadores, sistema antirrobo con inmovilizador de motor, alarma, cierre centralizado de puertas y sistema de anclaje Isofix y seguro de puertas para niños. La versión más equipada agrega dos airbag más del tipo delanteros laterales, Control de Estabilidad ESP, Control de Tracción TCS, asistente de partida en pendiente y monitor de presión en los neumáticos.
En cuanto a su equipamiento general, ambas versiones cuentan con neblineros traseros y delanteros, rieles sobre el techo, bisel de ventanas, volante ajustable en altura, comandos al volante, asiento del conductor ajustable de forma manual en seis distintas posiciones y el del copiloto en cuatro, apoya brazos central delantero, asientos traseros abatibles, aire acondicionado, salida trasera inferior de aire, sistema con filtro de aire y cobertor de motor. Dentro del equipamiento de confort interior, destaca su diseño de aislamiento de impacto para el vehículo y las medidas de absorción sonora, que crean un espacio de conducción cómodo y tranquilo. Además, incorpora un elegante reloj de cuarzo, sistema de altura de luces ajustables, con temporizador.
También viene equipado con radio con pantalla touch de 7 pulgadas en ambas versiones, Bluetooth, conexión AUX + USB y HDMI, 2 parlantes y 2 tweeters, con sistema de conexión móvil con Iphone usando Airplay, ajuste de volumen por velocidad, computador a bordo, alza vidrios eléctricos traseros y delanteros con sistema anti-atrapamiento, espejos abatibles eléctricamente, llave inteligente y botón de encendido, dentro de los elementos más destacados. Finalmente, la versión Elite cuenta con volante forrado en eco-cuero, mismo material que se repite en sus asientos, además de climatizador, techo panorámico, sensor de lluvia y cuatro parlantes.
SENSACIONES DE MANEJO
Lo probamos en ruta entre La Serena y sus alrededores por unos 250 kilómetros. Básicamente es un producto que destaca sobre lo que ofrece hoy su competencia, y por varios puntos relevantes: tiene mejores materiales, como plásticos con polímeros blandos en toda la consola y puertas, está muy bien ensamblado y denota muchos pasos adelante con este modelo. El equipamiento es interesante, sobre todo en la versión tope de gama que suma elementos de seguridad como cuatro airbags, ESP, Hill Holder, entre otros. En equipamiento un techo panorámico que no vemos en sus competidores. El interior sorprende en el correcto espacio para cuatro, tanto en alto, largo y ancho. El maletero es bastante grande, con unos 380 litros de capacidad.
Al subirmos, me sorprendió además de la calidad de sus materiales, la buena posición de manejo, la que eso sí, es algo arriba para personas altas, pero no se toca el techo. El volante tiene una excelente empuñadora y una vez en movimiento la dirección eléctrica tiene una excelente asistencia, no es siente “flotante” y se bastante comunicativa. Un punto destacado es su motor 1.5T de origen Mitsubishi, el que se le agregó turbo. Es muy elástico desde bajas RPM, lo que no nos había pasado con otros litros y medio turbo, como el del Great Wall H6, o HAVL H2, que es muy flojo en bajas revoluciones. Este del X55, anda bien en todo régimen, y parece incluso de mayor cilindrada. Además va muy bien acompañado de una caja de seis marchas mecánica GETRAG, de engranajes suaves y muy precisos. En suma, nos dejó una sensación excelente, si sumamos todos los atributos que encontramos, y su dinámica de manejo, la que es superior a lo que hoy ofrece su origen. Además su valor, está muy equilibrado frente a los que entrega.

MANAGEMENT FEATURES
We tried it en route between La Serena and its surroundings for about 250 kilometers.
