Renault Symbol 2017: Renovado para tener una fuerte presencia

Renault Symbol es uno de los modelos más vendidos de su segmento, ya que conjuga de buena manera diseño, espacio interior, equipamiento, seguridad  y bajos costos de mantenciones, además de un equipamiento que incluso con el tiempo ha ido mejorando. La oferta de este sedán compacto “low cost” de la casa francesa (y de origen Dacia como modelo Logan) fue perfeccionada con mejoras, sobre todo en el item seguridad, con elementos de serie de doble airbags (cuatro en los full) y ABS. El faltante está por el lado del ESP.

Este competidor del Hyundai Accent, KIA RIO4 y Toyota Yaris entre otros ha vendido en Chile más de 9.200 unidades desde su puesta en venta a fines de 2013. Hoy a más de tres años de su llegada, solo entre 2015 y 2016 mostró un crecimiento de 44% y se ubica tercero en el segmento de los sedanes B. Esta versión 2017 integra cambios por dentro y por fuera en diseño, tecnología, equipamiento y seguridad, y que ahora les detallaremos en profundidad. Por su parte, la línea de colores aumentó a ocho colores, entre metálicos y sólidos: Café Bisón (nuevo), Gris Platino, Rojo Fuego, Negro Nacarado, Azul Cosmos, Gris Cometa, Blanco Glacial y Azul Marino. Cuenta con una garantía de 3 años ó 100.000 km. Se fabrica en Rumania.

Llegará en tres nuevas versiones: Zen, Intens e Intens Tech. Todas sus versiones son mecánicas y vienen equipadas con un antiguo motor K7M de 1.6 litros de 8 válvulas y 83 hp de potencia a 5.250 rpm, el mismo de la versión pre-facelift. En cuanto al rendimiento tiene un consumo mixto de 13,6 km/lt, según 3CV. En Rutamotor preguntamos la falta de renovación en las plantas motrices, y según Derco, se siguió privilegiando esta 1.6L ocho válvulas, por otras más nuevas como una 1.6L 16V (K4M) o la turbo 0.9L tricilindrico el del Clio IV) o el turbodiesel 1.5 dCi por un tema de costos, para mantener el valor del Symbol acotado, sobre todo en sus dimensiones (que apenas superan los CLP $100.000 a 150.000 cada 10.000 kms, según nos explicaron).

Es 11 mm más largo que en la fase anterior llegando a los 4.357 mm. Además, cuenta con 1.994 mm de ancho y 1.543 mm de alto. Se destaca por contar con uno de los maleteros más amplios del segmento con una capacidad de 510 litros. Afuera destaca por la incorporación de una rejilla frontal que se ha vuelto característica de los modelos Renault, negro brillante y cromada; parachoque frontal; neblineros frontales adornados; luces expresivas y modernas, tanto delanteras como traseras, en forma de “C” C-SHAPE.

Además agrega focos delanteros con luz día DRL; espejos exteriores color carrocería con luz intermitente; moldura lateral protectora color negro; faros delanteros antiniebla; llantas aro 15” y 16” esta última diamantada bicolor, según versión, y regulador de luces en altura. También incorpora una nueva puerta de maletero con un botón para su apertura integrado bajo el nombre del modelo, con una manilla que ayuda a cerrarlo sin tocar el exterior del auto y tener una posición más cómoda de la mano.

LAS VERSIONES

Su versión de entrada cuenta con: nuevo volante renovado y mejorado que incluye control de radio, la cual incorpora Bluetooth, puerto USB y AUX; computador abordo DAC; volante regulable en altura; aire acondicionado; cierre centralizado con el vehículo en movimiento programable; alza vidrios eléctricos conductor “one touch”; cubre pisos de alfombra original; placa metálica en pisadera “Renault; apertura de combustible desde el interior y tapa exterior con chapa de seguridad. Además, incluye rejillas de ventilación redondas con grilla adicional que entrega una mejor dispersión de aire al interior del vehículo y un portavasos trasero con tomacorriente de 12V.

La versión Intens incorpora: volante forrado en cuero; espejos eléctricos; control crucero; limitador de velocidad; apoya brazo central delantero, y asientos traseros abatibles. Su versión Intens Tech incluye un sistema multimedia NAV con pantalla táctil de 7” con GPS. Entre su equipamiento básico de seguridad incluye: airbags conductor y pasajero, airbags laterales (versiones Intens), sistema de frenos ABS, dirección asistida, anclaje ISOFIX, sensores de estacionamiento trasero y cámara de retroceso. ¿Qué opinas?
