JAC retoca el S5 2017 en versiones bencineras con y sin turbo

Sin duda que 2016 fue un año redondo para JAC, marca representa en Chile por DERCO. Sus ejecutivos no esconden la alegría que ellos les significa, por lo que arrancan este año presentando el facelift de su SUV compacto S5, modelo presente en Chile desde 2014 con un diseño que no nos resulta ajeno.

El S5 Serie 2 compite con modelos de su misma nacionalidad, como son: Changan CS75, Chery Grand Tiggo, Haval 5. En términos de relación precio/equipamiento, los rivales a vencer son el Chevrolet Tracker y Nissan Qashqai. Mantiene la garantía de 3 años o 100 mil kilómetros (lo primero que acontezca).

¿Qué hay de nuevo?

El S5, que viene a completar la oferta de SUV conformada por los S2 y S3, vemos que el grueso de las modificaciones se concentran en su frontal, adoptando una calandra que va en sintonía con el resto de la gama de esta marca oriental, esto es: máscara superior con contornos cromados, aplicaciones en negro brillante en la sección central del paragolpes delantero, sumado a la presencia de una toma de aire inferior central con cinco lamas cromadas (su predecesor tenía cuatro). Los neblineros abandonan su forma circular, por una del tipo rectangular de mayor superficie, los que van acompañados por luces LED diurnas.

Por el costado, el único cambio advertible es la presencia de neumáticos GiTi Comfort SUV 520 de medida 225/55 R18 (el anterior portaba R17) con nuevo diseño de las llantas de aleación con cinco rayos dobles.

Por detrás se mantiene intacto, incluyendo los ópticos traseros LED de diseño delgado y austero, la presencia de las luces combinadas de antinieblas posteriores y retroceso, además de la doble salida de escape.
