LEXUS: CONOCE A LOS ARTESANOS DETRÁS DE CADA VEHÍCULO DE LA MARCA

Los responsables de ensamblar e inspeccionar cada auto de Lexus son los maestros Takumi, artesanos especialmente preparados para detectar detalles casi imperceptibles.

Estos artesanos participan en cada una de las etapas de producción. Por ejemplo, existe un maestro dedicado a probar los vehículos y asegurar que los niveles de conducción, manejo y sonido estén óptimos.

En el acabado de pintura existe un especialista, designado a inspeccionar que la aplicación de pintura esté libre de imperfecciones, teniendo como referencia imágenes teóricas creadas en una computadora.

También existe un encargado de seleccionar el motor, el cual investiga a nivel microscópico  cada una de las partes, a fin de garantizar que la resonancia acústica sea la más apropiada para el modelo. Una vez terminado su trabajo, prueban de manera exhaustiva su obra.

Así, los maestros Takumi son los responsables de que cada modelo de Lexus parezca una obra de arte, pero ¿cómo es que la marca de lujo los selecciona?

Pues, para calificarlo como maestro Takumi, los artesanos tienen que pasar por varias pruebas rigurosas. Una de ellas es armar un gato de origami con la mano no-dominante, en menos de 90 segundos.

En Japón, el término Takumi se usa para describir a un artesano que ha perfeccionado sus habilidades a lo largo de los años mediante un trabajo arduo y está reservado solo para aquellos que conforman la elite de su profesión.
