Es por eso que se han inventado ciertos trucos para que estas persecuciones queden tan espectaculares en pantalla. Estos son algunos de ellos (no iban a desvelárnoslos todos, claro):

Cuando comenzaron a rodarse las primeras películas, las persecuciones se hacían tal y como las vemos en pantalla. Es decir, los actores se montaban en el coche y ellos mismos realizaban los trombos o las acrobacias que el guión exigiera. Por supuesto, las medidas de seguridad con las que contaban eran mínimas y es por esto que muchos actores acababan heridos durante las grabaciones.

Más adelante se empezaron a grabar estas escenas en un plató donde el actor simplemente movía el volante con una proyección del escenario que se quisiese conseguir detrás suyo. Más adelante está técnica se mejoró gracias a las pantallas de croma. El croma es una pantalla con la que, después del rodaje, se añaden los efectos especiales necesarios

Las avanzadas tecnologías de Fast and Furious

Otro gran avance que introdujo la productora de Fast and Furious fue el Mic Rig. El Mic Rig es una furgoneta en la que el coche va acoplado. Esta furgoneta puede alcanzar velocidades más altas que otros camiones que se utilizaban para la misma función, además de la posibilidad de hacer trombos y derrapes y dar más realismo a estas escenas.
