El sistema de frenos es un circuito cerrado que, como ya sabes, empieza en el pedal y termina en las ruedas. Básicamente, consiste en que al pisar el pedal de freno comprimimos el líquido de frenos; éste transmite esa presión a las pastillas de freno empujando la pieza que las sostiene contra los discos. Esto provoca un rozamiento que va disminuyendo el giro de la rueda hasta detenerla completamente. Es decir, el proceso pasa por los siguientes elementos: pedal, líquido, pastillas, discos, neumáticos.

Desde que pisas el pedal hasta que el vehículo frena pasan milésimas de segundo. Y que este proceso se lleve a cabo correctamente, es vital. Por eso, en los talleres Euromaster ofrecemos una revisión completa del sistema de frenos. Nuestros técnicos de mecánica rápida inspeccionarán las pastillas de los frenos, los discos de freno y el líquido de frenos, comprobando su buen funcionamiento.

A continuación queremos darte unas pautas para averiguar si tus frenos no están funcionando correctamente. Si te has dado cuenta de que necesitas ejercer una mayor presión de la normal sobre los frenos, puede que los discos de freno estén en mal estado, las pastillas de los frenos muy desgastadas o sean de baja calidad.

Si por otro lado, percibes irregularidades al frenar (golpes o movimientos repentinos del volante) deberás comprobar el estado de las pastillas de los frenos y los discos de freno.
Si notas un tacto esponjoso o el pedal de freno se hunde completamente sin frenar, puede que haya burbujas de aire en el circuito hidráulico. En este caso, es necesario llevar el coche al taller para prevenir cualquier problema que se pueda derivar.

También debes revisar el estado de los frenos si el coche se desvía de su trayectoria al frenar, o por supuesto, si se ilumina el testigo de desgaste de los frenos en el panel.
Cualquiera de estos síntomas te indicarán que el estado de tus frenos no es el adecuado y al realizar cualquier maniobra de frenado la distancia que recorrerás será mayor, incrementando el riesgo de tener algún percance, llegando incluso a perder el control del coche.

In Euromaster we pay special attention to the brakes, being an essential element in safe driving. That's why among our services of fast mechanics we offer visual inspections and in detail of the system of brakes.

The brake system is a closed circuit that, as you know, starts at the pedal and ends at the wheels. Basically, it consists of that when pressing the brake pedal we compress the brake fluid; It transmits that pressure to the brake pads by pushing the piece that holds them against the discs. This causes a friction that decreases the rotation of the wheel until it stops completely. That is, the process passes through the following elements: pedal, liquid, pills, disks, tires.

From the pedal pedal until the vehicle brakes pass thousandths of a second. And that this process is carried out correctly, it is vital. That's why, in the Euromaster workshops we offer a complete review of the brake system. Our mechanics will quickly inspect the brake pads, brake discs and brake fluid, checking for proper operation.

Here are some guidelines to find out if your brakes are not working properly. If you have noticed that you need to exert more normal pressure on the brakes, the brake discs may be in poor condition, the brake pads worn out or of poor quality.

If on the other hand, you perceive irregularities when braking (blows or sudden movements of the steering wheel) you must check the condition of the brake pads and the brake discs.

If you notice a spongy feel or the brake pedal sinks completely without braking, there may be air bubbles in the hydraulic circuit. In this case, it is necessary to take the car to the workshop to prevent any problems that may arise.

You should also check the condition of the brakes if the car deviates from its trajectory when braking, or of course, if the brake wear warning light on the panel lights up.

Any of these symptoms will indicate that the state of your brakes is not adequate and when performing any braking maneuver the distance you will travel will be greater, increasing the risk of having a mishap, even losing control of the car.
