Mazda MX-5 Speedster Evolution, el prototipo que te conquistará

El Mazda MX-5 es uno de los coches que más pasiones levanta entre los amantes de la conducción por su diseño, configuración mecánica. Y cada cierto tiempo, la marca presenta alguna posible evolución del modelo en forma de concepto de esos que te dejan con los dientes largos.

Lo hizo el año pasado con los MX-5 Speedster y Spyder que presentó en el SEMA de Las Vegas y este año vuelve al lugar del “crimen” para presentar otras dos preparaciones de esas de quitarse el sombrero… pero que difícilmente llegarán a la cadena de montaje. Ambos han sido fueron diseñados y construidos el estudio de diseño que Mazda tiene en Irvine (California):

Si la versión aligerada que conocimos el año pasado ya era apabullante, esta pretende ir un paso más allá. Han tomado un Mazda MX-5 2015 y le han eliminado todo aquello que no sea imprescindible para disfrutar, incluido el parabrisas o cualquier capota.

Esto ha conseguido aligerar 160 km el peso, una auténtica barbaridad en un coche con estas características. Pintado en un pulcro color blanco llamado White Éter, nos hace imaginarnos un Miata sin techo alguno, similar a una barqueta… si bien el cerebro ya nos indica que los de Hiroshima nunca lanzarán algo así… si bien creemos que una edición limitada se agotaría en poco tiempo.

Mazda MX-5 RF Kuro

Tomando como base el Mazda MX-5 RF (con techo duro, con una silueta similar a un targa), es una preparación menos extrema. Su nombre se debe a la pintura mate (Kuro significa “carbón” en japones) y parece incidir en el carácter elegante y exclusivo de este modelo. Las llantas de 17 pulgadas le quedan como un guante y también sabemos que cuenta con una suspensión ajustable como la del MX-5 Cup, que debería hacer que la conducción fuese más similar a la de un kart.

Based on the Mazda MX-5 RF (hard top, with a targa-like silhouette), it is a less extreme preparation. Its name is due to matte paint (Kuro means "coal" in Japanese) and seems to influence the elegant and exclusive character of this model.
