La ligereza de una moto puede ser una tentación para los delincuentes. No obstante, para reducir este riesgo, Bajaj comparte algunas medidas preventivas.

Piero Mercado, gerente de marketing de Crosland, elaboró una lista de recomendaciones entre las que destacan no estacionar la moto en zonas solitarias, dejar siempre bloqueada la dirección y, de ser posible, utilizar alarmas y rastreadores GPS.

1. Sistemas de alarma y rastreo satelital (GPS)

Estos dispositivos permiten ubicar la motocicleta en cualquier momento desde un teléfono inteligente, tableta o computadora con conexión a internet. Su uso desincentiva a los ladrones, ya que el vehículos puede ser encontrado con mayor facilidad.

2. Sensores de proximidad

Con esta tecnología, las motos se apagan después de 30 segundos cuando se alejan del sensor, por lo que el ladrón quedará varado sin poder dar marcha al vehículo. Además, activa una alarma sonora que pondrá en evidencia al delincuente.

3. Candados y cadenas

Existen diferentes variedades de candados y cadenas de seguridad para estos vehículos, ya sean regulares, tipo U o de disco, que pueden poner en dificultades a los ladrones.

Sin embargo, siempre es recomendable atarlas a un punto fijo, como un poste, ya que su ligereza permite que puedan ser alzadas y robadas a pesar de los candados.

4. Personaliza tu moto

Una moto con stickers y calcomanías llamativas pierde el interés de los ladrones, ya que son mucho más fáciles de reconocer para las autoridades que un vehículo que tiene solo el número de placa.

5. Grabado de piezas

Otra forma de alejar a los amigos de lo ajeno es optar por marcar las diferentes piezas del vehículo con el número de placa. De esta manera, pierden su valor si desean venderlas como repuestos.
